Road Closures

Please see the below message from Leicestershire County Council.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

GRANGE ROAD, BARDON AND GRANGE ROAD, HUGGLESCOTE

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

Grange Road, Hugglescote closes on 24th February 2020 for various works to be undertaken. The works are split into Sections along the road.
Section A of Grange Road
• 24th February to 29th March - STW to commence works from the Rail crossing to the new roundabout
• 23rd March to 16th April – Newline Construction will be undertaking highway drainage works within the closed section of road
• 30th March to 31st March – Network Rail will require a night-time closure on Grange Road
• 16th April to 20th April – Network Rail will be working on the railway crossing under a road closure.
• 1st April for one day – surfacing works required to a section of the footway for Davidsons (S278 works)
Section B of Grange Road
• 24th February to 13th March – STW will be working under the road closure
• 24th February to 8th May - S278 works on the roundabout under temporary two-way traffic signals
• 1st April to 2nd April – S278 works on the roundabout under a road closure

Section C of Grange Road
• 24th February to 9th March – GTC working under two-way temporary traffic signals to install a new gas main
• 22nd April to 6th May – STW working under a road closure
• 21st May to 4th June – BT Open-reach working under two-way temporary traffic signals
• 2nd April for one day – surfacing works required to a section of the footway for Davidsons (S278 works)
• 12th June to 2nd July – Virgin Media working under two-way temporary traffic signals

Section D of Grange Road
• 9th March to 15th March – GTC installing gas main, access to residents and business park traffic will be managed under two-way temporary traffic signals
• 7th May to 13th May – STW working under two-way temporary traffic signals to control residents and business park traffic
• 14th May to 20th May – BT Open-reach working in the verge under temporary two-way traffic signals
• 5th June to 11th June – Virgin Media to undertake works under two-way temporary traffic signals
• 25th June to 4th July – Newline Construction, Rising Main works
Section E of Grange Road
• 24th February to 1st March – Cadeby Homes construction of bell mouth junction under priority traffic management (to be removed overnight)
• 27th February to 6th March – David Wilson Homes removal of vegetation and installation of street lighting columns under temporary two-way temporary traffic signals (to be removed overnight and during any weekend)
• 16th March to 29th March – GTC installing gas main under two-way temporary traffic signals
• 14th May to 18th June – STW working under a road closure
• 26th May to 24th June – Newline Construction, rising main works under a road closure
• 15th June to 26th July – Newline, foul sewer works under a road closure
• 13th July to 26th July – AIM utilities install power supply to Cadeby Homes development

Any other associated works will also be undertaken during this closure.

Please note these dates could move if the works promoters do encounter poor weather conditions.

The proposed diversion route will be via Bardon Road, London Road, Forest Road, Coalville, Central Road, Hugglescote and vice versa
