Ellistown has 5 parks in total:-

Rushby Road,

Pickering Drive,

St Christopher's Drive,

Spencer View,

South Street

Rushby Road Park

This park has various pieces of equipment, some newer than others. It is one of our largest parks and the age range of equipment goes from toddler through to teenager. There is a Trim Trail, climbing frame, swings, rockers, roundabout and lots of benches with a spacious grassy area too. The Parish Council would like to provide disabled children the opportunity to play with able-bodied children and are currently looking at gaining funding to install either a swing, a roundabout or both. The roundabout is for disabled and able-bodied children alike. The swing for disabled only.

Pickering Drive

One of our smallest parks, this is hidden off Channing Way and has a small selection of equipment for younger and older children.

St Christopher's Drive

This park, although with a lot of space has a small amount of equipment but benefits from an open basketball court and some green space. The council would like to look at improving what the park has to offer over the next year or two.

Spencer View

Our smallest park, this has just a few small pieces of play equipment for our younger residents. Hopefully at some point in the future the equipment will undergo some refurbishment work.

South Street

Another of the large parks, it has varying types of play equipment but also boasts a Multi Use Games Area or MUGA and benefits from the Hugglescote Recreation Ground, which is a very large open space. Great for the council to hold events on and for people to play cricket or football. This area is perhaps one of our main ones which requires updating but the council has big plans which are in the early planning stage at the moment.
